Flying Baby!!

We have many new tricks.  One of our favorite new games is playing flying baby. (See pics below.)  Dad and Cole play this often and Cole loves it. He is getting so strong with his neck muscles.  

He is also learning to sleep in new places.  He has adjusted to sleeping in his car seat for extended periods of time.  (Thank you!)  And right now he is sleeping in his swing as we speak.  He doesn't calm down and sleep on dad as easily any more, but we are hoping the swing continues to work for awhile.  

And for his final trick, someone has learned how to roll over on his own!  He did this once before but we thought it was a fluke.  But today his is a rolling machine.  We are in such trouble.  

Thinking of Little Mick

We are sending all of our best thoughts, well wishes and prayers to Michael Irwin aka "Little Mick" today and tomorrow.  He has to go in for another surgery and it is sooner than they had hoped.  We are all pulling for this little Irish Tiger.  He is one tough kid.  

Feeling Much Better

Someone got all of his crankiness out of his system this weekend and is feeling much better.  He was in great spirits when he got to hang out with the guys on Sunday while mom was at a baby shower for a friend.  Each day he is more interactive and talkative.  He loves to sit outside and watch the trees.  Below are a couple pictures of him playing on the floor and one photo from a sunset walk.  

Tough Day

Someone is having a really rough day on Saturday.  He just can't seem to get calmed down and relaxed.  Very little sleep, so he is very, very tired.  This was the one point during the day that he was calm.  Hopefully he can get some good sleep later today.  

Happy Baby!

Just some photos of a happy baby.  More and more smiles each day.  The final picture is from belly time.  He loves it for awhile and then he lets you know he has had enough. 

Burrito - Update

We put him in the Moses Basket the other day and were a bit shocked at how he was filling the space.  The first photo was taken at about one week and the second was taken at 8 weeks.  Someone is growing.  

Dad's Birthday Photo

Someone had his first photo shoot in order to give dad a picture for his desk for his birthday!  What a cute kid!

Two Month Check Up

Cole had his two month check up yesterday and was a trooper.  He received his 5 shots like a champ.  Some tears and cries, but he recovered quickly and then took a nap.  Guess it was more traumatic for mom and dad than for him.  

He is currently 10 pounds, 11 ounces and is 23 inches long.  The doctor was a little surprised and how long he was getting and actually suggested he needed to fill out a bit more.  More work for mom!  The doctor was also impressed with his arm and neck strength.  She warned us he might be mobile sooner than we would want.  

Cole is doing very well in terms of development.  Lots of talking with us now and he follows us and toys with his eyes.  Overall he is just a pretty chill kid.  Noises don't really bother him and he can sleep through pretty much anything.

For Grandparents Day....Smiles

This took some one handed photo shooting, but we were able capture some smiles today.  Cole was in a great mood just hanging out with dad.  He is getting much more expressive and interactive.
